CODA Chorus Resumed Sept 4!

Here’s what you need to know:

Our first fall rehearsal was on Tuesday, September 4th from 7-9pm at the Winthrop United Methodist Church, 58 Main St, Winthrop.

We will have a 6pm meet & greet on our first two rehearsals, Tuesdays Sept 4th & 11th, so come on over a little early to get yourself situated.

Our first month of rehearsal will be a little different this time around, instead of the first 2 rehearsals; we will be welcoming new choir members throughout the whole month of September. To be more inclusive to new members who may have not sung in a group for a long time or ever, we will alternate the sight-reading of new music with other singing activities instead of doing a huge sight-reading marathon on the first two days.

All of this so that the month of September becomes bring-a-friend-along-month to share in the joy of singing together! No strings attached: your friend or acquaintance can come by, check it out and decide sometime in September.    All voices are welcomed (especially Sopranos and Tenors!!), no auditions, previous choral experience or music-reading skills are not required, but are, of course, welcomed; and as always, I am available to advise and help singers with any questions or concerns they may have with their voice.

This winter’s concert theme will be “Gathering for the Holidays to drive the cold winter away”.  We will sing old favorites such as White Christmas, There’s No place Like Home for the Holidays, In the bleak midwinter, and a few surprises as well!   Our winter concert will be on Sat. Dec 8th, at Hope Baptist Church in Manchester.
