Join the members of CODA Chorus as they present their annual Christmas concert on Sunday, December 7th, at 7pm, at Hope Baptist Church in Manchester.
The program will feature a joy-filled and humorous tour de force of musical recycling, American composer Craig Courtney’s irresistible A Musicological Journey through the Twelve Days of Christmas. Based on the traditional “Twelve Days of Christmas,” this musical romp through the centuries re-interprets this well-known piece in a dozen styles, from 6th century Rome through 19th century America, with echoes of Handel, Wagner, Tchaikovsky and even a Sousa march!
Enjoy violin accompaniment and performance by special guests from the Pineland Suzuki School who will join CODA on a few selected pieces such as Jesus, Joy of Man’s Desiring by J.S. Bach and a powerful rendition of Bashana Haba’ah by John Leavitt.
Selections of favorite songs including Holly Jolly Christmas, Winter Wonderland and Christmas Carol sing-alongs will insure a wonderful and uplifting time welcoming in the holiday season!
